Lisbon, February 15th, 2016 – NEC Portugal – Telecomunicações e Sistemas, S.A. has been selected by MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S.A., a member of the Altice Group, to provide support and maintenance services for three years to the Juniper Networks, Inc. IP Network equipment, ADVA Optical Networking SE dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) optical equipment and the NEC Corporation synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) transmission equipment deployed in MEO’s carrier network infrastructure in Portugal.

This new project with MEO, strengthens the existing partnership with NEC, in addition to the existing SDH Optical Transmission Agreement, thus confirming NEC’s position as a strategic provider of professional services in the transport and IP spaces.

The selection of NEC highlights its capability to provide support and maintenance services over a diverse range of technological solutions as a System Integrator, as well as its commercial capacity and understanding of customer requirements and needs.
