NEC showcases solutions to empower cities through Digital Transformation at Smart City Expo World Congress
London, UK & Madrid, Spain - November 6, 2018 - NEC Europe Ltd. and NEC Iberica today announced its participation in Smart City Expo World Congress from 13-15 November, 2018, in Barcelona, Spain, the leading international event on smart cities.
Cities are now being faced with challenges to provide services, meeting diversified needs of their citizens through effective use of their limited resources. At this event, NEC will showcase a wide range of smart city solutions that solve the variety of issues facing urban cities; including smart city platform, “Cloud City Operations Centre” (CCOC), behavior detection system, smart transportation solution, and FIDO (Fast Identity Online) standard compliant solution. The solutions are part of a safe, secure, and efficient urban city infrastructure that NEC aim to build, to contribute to the smooth shift of city operations to city management through Digital Transformation.
NEC will also join the dialogue session under the theme of “Digital Transformation – Data Driven Cities & Cloud”, held on 14th November, where Mr. Jaime Serrano, CEO of NEC Iberica, participates as a speaker together with Ms. Gema Igual, Mayor of Santander, Spain, to discuss the achievements of Smartcity Santander.
