NEC sponsors and attends SCWS World 2016

London & Tokyo, May 3, 2016 - NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) will be sponsoring, speaking and exhibiting at the 10th annual SCWS World 2016 conference (previously Small Cells, Carrier Wi-Fi and Small Cells Backhaul World) in London on May 10-11 at the Intercontinental O2 Hotel.

At the event, NEC will be showcasing its latest developments in small cell and Cloud-RAN (C-RAN) solutions. Dr Xinjie Yang, Manager, Global RAN Strategy, NEC Europe, will deliver a presentation titled "Cloud RAN makes Small Cells Smaller", outlining  the benefits that NFV based Cloud RAN architecture offers to the deployments of small cells, which in NEC’s view will be a solid step towards 5G networks. The presentation will be held on May 11th at 9:20 am. Costa Tsourkas, Head of Business Development, Small Cells, NEC Europe, will participate in a panel session on May 12th titled “Realising revenue from Wi-Fi, DAS and Small Cell deployments”, discussing options to generate value from small cells beyond the already well-established subscriber acquisition and retention business cases.
